This 79 Super BeetleKarmann EditionType T1 chassis had been stored 10-years in Nevada prior to partial restoration. Powered by a 4-cylinder motor and mated to a 4 speed manual transmission and retro fitted with a carburetor set-up. Painted in factory correct Turquoise accented with Porsche sport wheels over a black/gray interior and finished with a new black convertible top with convertible boot. The much-improved McPherson strut suspension and longer wheelbase platform has been enhanced with rebuilt front-end featuring urethane bushings, new brakes, new clutch and fresh tires. New carburetor and distributer were installed before 1st road trip. This 79 runs smooth at 60-mph and still has the original full sized spare tire and jack plus an extra set of wheels. This Super Beetle is a driver quality car that can be driven anywhere with confidence. Motor Trend pronounced this suspension an unqualified improvement. Since xxxx was the last year for the convertible, no expense was spared. This beauty comes with dual outside chrome mirrors, the more modern windshield, flow-through ventilation, a padded and more modern dash layout, newly carpeted interior with a new Pioneer 6x9 acoustic speakers.
