This curious and adventurous guy is a rescue hog. He is blind (although hedgies are nearly blind by nature, relying heavily on other senses such as sound and especially scent). Due to this however, he is typically up during the day and sleeps at night (usually hogs are nocturnal and can be quite noisy on their wheels at night). His schedule has seemed to fluctuate a bit but he seems all the more friendly based on his loss of sight. He is lovable and does very well in the bath... at times it can be tricky to get his nails trimmed, but it is easy enough. He will come with his habitat, bucket wheel, a large bag of Natural Balance cat food, a bag of hedgehog diet food, a container of dried mealworms, the remainder of his bedding (paper bedding for better absorption and cleaning, not pine or chips), a small travel/carrying tote (hard plastic, could fit a small cat), accessories (wooden hut, bowls, water bottles, crinkle tunnel, hammock), and a wire stand for his cage if wanted. He does enjoy a bit of banana or jello from time to time as a snack and is great around children and dogs. He likes the outdoors and appreciates to have a run in a large pen in order to be near the humans during the day. He is approximately 1.5 years old and is extremely loving once he warms up (must be handled frequently). He is fully recovered from his eye surgery and the vet says he is free from mites or any health issues. Costs are to cover a portion of his surgery and supplies.
